When is the season?
Our practice season starts July 1st. The 2024 race season begins in the second weekend of September and runs through the last weekend of October.
When are practices?
Practices are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6 - 8 pm.
Where do you practice?
Our weekday practices are held on the Big Creek Park XC trails. On the weekends we will have practice at other local area trails (Haw Creek, Charleston Park, Blankets Creek, Rope Mill, Chicopee, etc.)
What kind of riding do you do?
We are a cross country mountain biking team. We ride singletrack trails. Many of our riders also participate in enduro or downhill styles of mountain biking, but our focus is solely on cross country racing.
What equipment do I need to ride?
You must have a functioning bike that is suitable for riding trails, a bike helmet, and a bottle or hydration pack to carry water.
Do I have to race?
No. Racing is optional. While we encourage all of our riders to race, it is solely up to each and every individual rider. Race days are one of the funnest parts of being on the team. It is the time when the students really get to bond with each other. In a typical season 75% or more of our riders participate in the races.
What does “Composite” mean?
Our team is not associated with any particular school or school system. We are a “composite” team made up of students from the Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, and Peachtree Corners area.
